gossip gossip gossip

one of the Filipinos past time is gossip. the famous entertaining gossip that is evident nowadays is showbiz. we love to listen to the lives of the celebrities and it intrigues the people what is happening to them. the more scandalous the issue is, the more people gets excite. also, more or less people with in a group, or simply say a 'barkada' has gossips. sadly, many people are entertained by this past time. others would even like to join in to the fire. some would stay quiet but their ears are very much attentive. i couldn't say if this habitual activity is good or bad..i don't even know why people get addicted in chit-chats. but my concern is the party which is being talked about. i could describe how it feels because i was a victim once, twice.. don't get me wrong, i am also part of the 'gossip group' sometimes. (haha)


it just occurred to me while I'm writing this, rumors that is not true is no justice at all. because of this people who talks about nonsense, they can destroy the reputation of the victim. and it is heartbreaking to see that other people wouldn't even spend just a little time knowing what is the truth. nor wouldn't they give a damn on what is the feeling of the victim. i believe that we can't please everybody and we can't make everybody believe in us. but,.. maybe.. the least we could do is to let the people know what we have, what we're great of, what we can do, what we can share, what we believe in.. then, they judge. let them see it first hand. not because of gossip.

entertainment through shopping

people go to malls because they have something to buy. others would just stroll around to waste time. people have different reasons why they go to the malls. some would go to malls beacuse it is relaxing to walk around and look for things that they might want. others are just oblige to go becuase they need to buy something important. exercise is also one reason why people go to these places. there are more rationale to this, but.. have you ever felt the excitement to go to ashppin center, just because you are craving to buy something. AND! this thing is not that important to you..well i just experienced it today. i went to Alabang Town Center just to buy my sanuk. i really wanted to buy this footwear ever since and yeees! finally i have one pair today. it was funny because i went to ATC because of sale. but i only got 10%. the discount that i had was even cheaper than my fare. (i had my boyfriend with me, which makes the fare x2..)the rain today is also wild! it took us almost one hour to look for a cab.

going to the mall because of a reason like mine if acceptable. (i think! haha) but.. with this kind of weather.. it's a big NO. it was really an unpractical experience that i had this day.. on the other hand.. i am happy because i have my sanuk! haha! and bonding moments with my boyfriend! :D

entertainment through sports

Even girls play and watch basketball, so do i. I love to watch PBA,WPBL,UAAP,NCAA and especially NBA(yeah!). I only watch NBA if both of the team have player to watch like lebron(my idol),Kobe,Wade,etc. It is boring when there’s no show timer like the three that I mentioned. My favorite team was Cleveland Cavaliers. When I’m watching this team it makes me crazy. I cheer like I’m on the exact venue where the game is. I get up on my sit when my team makes a basket, I raise my hands when they made a three points, tapping the one who sits with me(no matter who she/he is) when there’s do a jam. That’s me when watching basketball. It seems that I’m not a lady. My older brother always watches with me and even teased me when I did some crazy stuff. There were many players who step up. Coaches and players are also very emotional, that usually leads to technical fouls. Even the crowd gets emotional but they can express their feelings anyway they want to. Also, the day after the game, you would see articles on the newspapers talking about the competition. Besides from that, schedules are being flashed on TV screens so that viewers like me can know more about the upcoming games. I could say that NBA has an really affect on people’s lives, routine, values, and etc.

Now, playoff are just over. Teams were now eliminated. Therefore, more intense physical game, depression, and celebrations will take place. After beating Detriot and Atlanta with 4-0 in a Best-of-7 series, sadly my favorite team didn’t make it through the Finals. They lost to Orlando Magic winning only two games in a Best-of-series game. I’ve watched almost all their games and it was a good series for both of the team. They always showcase an entertaining game that would make the viewers’ heart pounds like hell.
